Kelly A. Collins
Kelly A. Collins received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University. She has been practicing law for over 20 years and has experience in all areas of family and matrimonial law, including custody and visitation, maintenance, child support, financial issues, corporate valuations, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, post-decree actions and appeals. Ms. Collins’ publications include “Abuse and Neglect Proceedings and their Impact on Family Law Cases.” She is Chair of the Lake County Bar Association Family Law Committee, and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association, and The Association of Women’s Attorneys of Lake County.
Sheila Collins
Sheila Collins received her juris doctor from The John Marshall School of Law in 1997, and then practiced as an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office. Sheila then went into private practice where she focused on both family law and litigation. Prior to joining Collins Family Law, she worked at a family law firm in California. Sheila has experience in all areas of family law, including financial issues, child custody and visitation, prenuptial agreements, and enforcement and modification actions. Sheila is a member of the Lake County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
Karen Altman
Karen Altman received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago and has been practicing law for more than 15 years. She has focused exclusively on family and matrimonial issues, including custody (allocation of parental responsibilities), parenting time (visitation), maintenance, child support, complex and high-end financial issues, corporate valuations, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and post-decree actions for her entire career. Ms. Altman has been published by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, and The Docket. She has further lectured on family law matters through the National Business Institute.
