Kelly A. Collins
Kelly Ann Collins received her Juris Doctor of Law from Georgetown University and has been practicing family law for 20 years. She has extensive experience in all areas of family law, including allocation of parental responsibilities (parenting time and decision making), maintenance, child support, complex financial issues, business valuations, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, post-decree actions and appeals. Ms. Collins is a highly accomplished litigator and has served as a trial advocacy instructor at many seminars and trainings throughout the country. Ms. Collins serves as the Board Chair of the Lilac Tree, a non-profit organization which provides support, education and resources to individuals going through divorce. She is the former chair of the Lake County Bar Association Family Law Committee and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association and Association of Woman Attorneys of Lake County. Her publications include “Abuse and Neglect Proceedings and their Impact on Family Law Cases.”
Sheila Collins
Sheila Collins received her Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School, now University of Illinois at Chicago, and has been practicing law for over 20 years. Sheila exclusively practices family law and has extensive experience in cases involving allocation of parental responsibilities (parenting time and decision-making), parentage matters, child support, maintenance, relocation cases, post-decree enforcement and modification proceedings (including cohabitation cases), complex financial proceedings, orders of protection and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Sheila is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association and the Association of Woman Attorneys of Lake County.
Karen Altman
Karen Altman received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago and has been practicing law for more than 20 years. She has focused exclusively on family issues during her career and has extensive experience in all areas of family law, including allocation of parental decision-making responsibilities, parenting time, maintenance, child support, complex and high-end financial issues, business valuations, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and post-decree actions. Ms. Altman has been published by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, and The Docket. She has further lectured on family law matters through the National Business Institute. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Lake County Bar Association.
